Congratulations on being ready to take your certification exam. In order to take the exam, you must have studied to make sure you know the material, taken all of the practice exams, watched the practical skills videos.

  1. This certification exam is also the final exam if you are enrolled in a course of study.

  2. Click on the icon of the test you want to take.

  3. You will get only one chance to pass the exam. If you do not pass, we can help with remediation.

  4. The certification exams are timed.

    • AWLS - 70 minutes for 75 questoins

    • BWLS - 70 minutes for 50 questions

    • Wilderness Travel and Tropical Medicine - 50 minutes for 50 questions

    • Backpacking Medicine - 40 minutes for 40 questions

    • Search and Rescue Medicine - 20 minutes for 20 questions

    • Bike Med Certification - 40 minutes for 40 questions

    • WFA - Wilderness First Aid - 40 minutes for 40 questions

    • WFR - Wilderness First Responder - 60 minutes for 50 questions

    • WFR - Recertification - 30 minutes for 20 quesionts

    • Medicine of Outdoor Sports - 30 minutes for 20 questions

    • Basic First Aid - 30 minutes for 23 questions

  5. Once you start, you must complete the exam in one setting.

  6. Questions are chosen randomly from a test bank, so no two tests are the same.

  7. In order to pass/certify, you will need to get a 70% or higher. (75% for Bike Med)

  8. After you pass, a certificate with your name and date of passing will be provided to you.

  9. The course director will be informed by email if you passed of failed the exam.

  10. You will need a password for each of the certification examinations. You should have one from a course you are enrolled in. If you are a medical professional, you can purchase access and the passwords by navigating to the payment portal at the bottom of the subject page you are studying.
