Below is the step by step process to pass the Medicine of Outdoor Sports certification exam.This is a great companion course of study for courses such as the AWLS course. Every student will learn and study best using different techniques, so we have provided a number of resources for you to use. Remember, when you feel ready to take the examination, you will need a password. You get the password by registering for the course.

We suggest that you study by starting with the practice tests and study areas where you feel weak in your knowledge. You can also read the text, watch the short videos and listen to podcasts to help prepare you. Before you take the certification exam, you will need to register to get the passcode.

Subjects to Study for the Medicine of Outdoor Sports
Step 1. Download the Medicine of Outdoor Sports Textbook
As you begin your study of the Medicine of Outdoor Sports, you should download the textbook. This is the most up-to-date text on this subject. You can use it as a primary study tool, or as a reference text. It is updated frequently. You can use another service such as Notability to mark it up and make notes.
Step 2. Baseline Study
Follow the subject list given above as a guide. Study each subject by doing one (or more) of the following, depending on which way you learn best: This will give you the foundation needed to understand the material.
PODCASTS: Most students listen to the podcasts. They are found on iTunes, Spotify, and Google. Look at the podcast index on the right of this page. You can follow along in the textbook.
POWERPOINT: If you need more help, you can watch a powerpoint lecture on a subject
If you haven’t already, you will need to watch these practical skill videos. If you are a current first responder, you may be excluded from watching these. If you have taken another course that teaches practical skills, you still might want to review them.
Step 4. Practice Tests
Click on the Practice Test link to work on these valuable practice tests. Many students use these to study the subjects. There are questions with answers and explanations.
Are you ready to pass your certification exam? Click on the link to the right and take the exam. Questions about the exam are answered on the landing page. They are timed and must be done in one setting and you get one chance. Very good luck! You will need a password to take the exam. If you don’t have one, click here to ask for the password.
